Conceived in 1982, the resort was an early pioneer that brought a new level of luxury to the exotic tropical island that was relatively undiscovered at that time. Originally known as The Pansea due to its exceptional location along the fine white sand of Pansea Beach, The Surin Phuket has been revitalised over the years under the careful guidance of Ed Tuttle, one of America’s most renowned architect.
The Paris-based architect and designer maintains respect for both the local culture and his own architectural philosophy in ensuring that wherever one looks, an interesting perspective can be seen. His intuitive vision has ensured that The Surin Phuket remains as a timeless and classically elegant hideaway that it was conceptualised to be.[/tab]
[tab] All rooms and facilities have been renovated to incorporate a fresh take on Thai beach cottages. Here, local materials and Thai design combine to offer up modern functionality. Elevated walkways link pavilions and public buildings that offer guests unobstructed views of the ocean, while the private cottages bring the surrounding nature inside through shuttered doors. A private veranda and secluded sundeck also help ensconce each cottage in the natural world. Here, guests can breathe easy in custom-made designs and earthy colors that reflect the organic aesthetic of Tuttle’s tropical vision or take advantage of the property’s discreet, yet always attentive service.

Tucked away at the fringe of the resort with a prime beachfront location is the Beach Restaurant. Enjoy a romantic dinner al fresco under the stars on the lush manicured lawn serenaded by the soothing waves while perusing the menu featuring authentic Thai Cuisine and fresh grilled seafood and BBQ inspired by the seaside. A casual dining experience that is elegantly understated, it is also a popular venue for intimate group celebrations and weddings.
– Beach Bar
Perched on the white sand, The Beach Bar is a perfect spot for guests to mingle with sunset happy hours and welcoming smiles from the staff throughout the day. All day dining menu is served at the beach bar and pool side.[/tab]
